Failing a community members' personal goal will impose a morale penalty. Some community members will provide a morale boost upon becoming promoted to hero. (If you uprade the cooking skill to "cuisine," that's even better.) I added an Xbox to the lounge.įour of my six outposts were Dirty Bird espresso stands. I had six survivors, one of which had the cooking skill to make feasts in the kitchen. I put two upgraded bedrooms indoors and built a garden, workshop, infirmary, and lounge (large slot) outdoors. I used the Corner Office in Lowl in Cascade Hills. Choose your base and facilities accordingly.

A kitchen, lounge, and latrine are good for community morale, while outdoor beds are, for most survivors, bad. Many survivors get a morale boost from having a garden, workshop, infirmary and/or watchtower.
STATE OF DECAY 2 MODS HAPPINESS FREE
It's good to do this with the builder legacy so you can get free water and power, both of which are good for morale. There are many ways to boost morale, but I think this will cover all of the major points and a few minor ones: I did have 2 people fight right away and still had a timer on them being mad, so it could still be easier if your group does not fight. You may not need all of these, but they are there just in case. Once everything was ready I did these actions: * You can be short on beds for this, but I took an outpost for a few more for my group of 7. Add facility mods like a recliner for a small bonus Recruit a new member for a temporary bonus Claim an outpost that boosts morale like a coffee shop Destroy plague hearts for a temporary bonus for all of them for a permanent one (they do stack) Craft a kitchen and cook a feast, You need someone with cooking skill for this *rank 3 is better, but I didn't have a sheriff leader. (not really needed but I wanted to get started on food.)

Take scentblock if you have any as it may help if you run into trouble.ġ Garden rank 3. I started construction on the facilities and took 2 survivors out to capture a water and electric outpost. I got in my car and drove straight for the brewing company and moved in. I did not do anything to the starting base. I did this on Meager Valley at the brewing company base. I got this achievement within the first day of starting Nightmare with a current group.

I made sure I had a base that could be happy before moving on to Nightmare Mode, knowing you can craft all the needed facilities is important.
